Cartagena

[Fort Overlooking Cartagena Image]

Fort Overlooking Cartagena. This fort was attacked by the British, lead by General Vernon, but never taken. General Vernon was armed with ladders that were not quite tall enough to scale the walls, causing his defeat. The Colombian flag flies over the fort, the yellow stands for Colombia's vast natural resources, the blue for the sea, and the red for the courage of her people.
